There is, It's possible not to have anything bad happen, but it's rare. Some people can catch him without having anything bad happen.

Impossible! Unless it's the blocky ?? guy in RSE. All it has a glitched up Pokedex entry. When MissingNO. appears on your screen. It first shows a black screen for a while, that's cause your RB version is passing garbage data. It can be very dangerous. Everty time you encounter a Pokemon. your cartidge saves it. Before that happens when you encounter MissingNO., garbage data happens. So if you do turn your game off. You will end up at the last place you saved. Your HoF will be glitched up. Thanks to Team Rocket Rockin'. Man that place is useful.

actually there IS a safe way to catch him. all you do is use pokemon stadium to catch him.

complete discription:buy an n64 and a controller with a game pak. then put your version in and go to the gameboy tower. put in the version then and you do all the necessary stuff to catch missingo without killing your data.

Read what I said.... Don't you read. :-x
You will only see how 'M saves your game... Geez. If you see Missingno and save, you will 'kill' your data. If you see 'M, you data will already be 'killed'.

With permission from a friend, we tried all the possibilities we knew about back when I was in year 5. We found that on his blue game it was safe to have missingno but NOT M.

Another bad thing that happens is that your hall of fame gets screwed up. But Pikachu 90000 already said that.

When I encounted Missingno on my blue, it didn't currupt my game, but I think it currupted my gameboy. I didn't realise this untill my friend let me try Crystal, and as i entered one of the radio towers, my screen just went all garbly...Which was werid. :-?

Screwing around with glitches is fun! Dangouros, but fun! Or in my case... scary... I cheched my totally screwed up H.O.F one day to show to my freind. Trsrockin.com has inspired me to dig out as many glitches in my game as possible... Whatever the cost. (Idon't care) Anyway, I checked it and it showed me pics of glitch pokemon. (Duh) But then it played some really freaky music. Whats wierder is it actually sounds like it was programed into the game! From my computer tech exp I know that NOTHING, no peice of data can be fully deleted off anything electronic. Parhaps they programmed it to be the grave tower music but decided againced it?
