Black & White Changes

Post by Raikou Trainer »

Sorry I didn't get this posted sooner. Anyway, here's the changes made to the TCG starting with Black & White.

* The set is now sorted by type and Pokedex number, just like it has been done in Japan for years.
* Pokemon that reference themselves now use the text 'This Pokemon' rather than the Pokemon's name. Again, this is how this was done in Japan for many years.
* Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums are being classified as Trainers again, just like it was pre-DP. Trainers will be Trainer- Item, Supporters will be Trainer- Supporter, and Stadiums will be Trainer- Stadium.
* Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies will be condensed into a new (sort of) category called Abilities. Cards the reference Poke-Powers or Poke-Bodies will not affect Abilities.
*The player going first can play Trainers on the first turn.
* Supporters now go directly to your discard pile rather than staying in play until the end of your turn.
* Effects that remove damage will now say 'Heal X damage' where X is the amount of damage.
* Certain cards are getting their text changed. You must use this text when you play these cards if they come from an older set.
-Rare Candy: Choose 1 of your Basic Pokemon in play. If you have a Stage 2 card in your hand that evolves from that Pokemon, put that card on the Basic Pokemon. (This counts as evolving that Pokemon.) You can't use this card during your first turn or on a Basic Pokemon that was put into play this turn.
-Potion: Heal 30 damage from 1 of your Pokemon.
-Great Ball: Look at the top 7 cards of your deck. You may reveal a Pokemon you find there and put it into your hand. Shuffle the other cards back into your deck.
-Pluspower: During this turn, your Pokemon's attacks do 10 more damage to the Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).
